A short third-person 3D educational fitness Mobile game, a QUT project, where you buddy with your All-Star
to help with their fitness goals. Designed in a team of 4 and over a 28-week timeframe, having finished
our contributions on 28/10/2022.
My team was approached by a client to work with from the organisation
Fight4Balance
, to improve their existing game; the myBuddy App. The game focused on providing an education simulation for the 'Buddies' to
teach them how to partner up with their 'All-Stars' to assist in their fitness
activities alongside their Trainer. The game had an established Scenario system which
put the Buddy in realistic situations where their All-Star was struggling to
participate in their training. The player must choose the best response to help
their All-Star to complete the Scenario and earn coins as a reward. Check out the
Pool level, which the team is currently working on to date! Our client is Leo Bowers, and you can
find out more about Fight4Balance
here.
Project Manager
I put myself in charge of keeping all team members on track
and frequently checking in on their progress.
Communications Manager
I also put myself in charge of overseeing most of the
communication between our client and tutor, including emails and leading discussions when prompted about
the team's progress.
Level Designer
The design of the general pool area was put under my responsibility,
where I would create the larger buildings and ground materials.
Artist
Given how well we are progressing, I decided to help out with the modelling of
other props to place around the pool.
Project Management
This is most effort I've put into managing a project, since
I need to ensure I don't forget to arrange SCRUM meetings or forget any team members, though I've noticed
I put together a very smart team, and they've always been keeping up with their weekly tasks.
Communication
Discussion between members has been really easy, and I found
I'm communicating well with our client and tutor.
